Being With What Arises
Working together, this is what will happen: I will support you in cultivating the capacity to be with what arises.
The full range.
So that whatever is here doesn't take over.
This could be past trauma, but it could also be the fear that arises as you dare to step into your dreams, move toward what matters most, make a change, end a relationship, begin a relationship, or shift careers.
Big steps are scary.
They require thought, care, and presence.
Life can be lived well when we learn to find the place within us that can embrace all that arises. Because what arises never goes away. There is no healing point where we stop having big feelings. That would simply be a numb and disconnected life.
I want to help you learn to be with those feelings, to be bigger than them, to embrace and welcome them while allowing your embrace to be wider than the feelings themselves.
That is how we live without being blown from one direction to another.
We don't stomp down, ignore, or dismiss big feelings. We enter into relationship with them. We honor them.
We simply have a captain at the helm of the ship who knows when there is wisdom in the feelings and who knows when it is time to let them run around, scare us, and settle before any action is taken.
There is no easy solution.
This never ends.
But it becomes far more meaningful when we have a way to be with it all.
And know this...
Difficulty isn't bad, wrong, or a sign that something has gone off course.
It is part of what helps us in the birthing process.
Consider birth. It is not easy. It is painful, gut-wrenching, and often violent. When we feel this way inside—especially when we are up to something that deeply matters—know that it is important to stay with it because it may be leading you through the birth canal.
It is not a detour.
It is not a wrong turn.
It is not something to get rid of so that you can get on with what you were setting out to do.
It is part of what you are setting out to do.
It is part of the path.
It is part of the journey.
Especially when the journey becomes something that deeply matters.
Tumult, anguish, and pain are part of it.
It can't be any other way.
So lean into it.
Embrace it.
Be bigger than it.
Explore it.
Ride the waves.
It may be leading you toward the birth of what matters.
Trust it.
Trust it.
Trust it.
